HiMax OVDs (Optically Variable Device) - Light Impressions International





	Fabricated by a proprietary method and only available from Light Impressions, HiMax^® OVDs provides bright and easily recognisable features to protect high level security documents. Unlike conventional holograms, the structure of the HiMax^® OVDs is directly written line by line to provide an extensive array of colour and motion effects. The special profiling of the structures of the HiMax^® OVDs allows greater visibility in adverse lighting and from scattering substrates. This makes it particularly suitable for protecting banknotes and other high level security documents. HiMax^® OVDs is fabricated using non-optical technology and its resolution is not limited by the diffraction constraints of conventional holography. In addition to ultra-high resolution it offers regions of Nano-text and Nano-graphics with line widths of just 200 nanometres. Verification of such features is achieved forensically and provides absolute authentication assurance. NOTE: HiMax^® OVDs is reserved for use on high level security documents such as banknotes.
